MCS

Many of us with MCS have problems with smells/ordors.  I have recently developed a skin condition. I am now on my fifth visit to the dermatologist and he told me to change my soaps , shampoos etc..Little did the doctor know that it took me months and a money to find the right soap, shampoo etc. all the ones that i couldnt use i donated. Here is what i was using: Dessert essence for shampoo -it has a waxy smell but i am able to put up with, glycerin unscented soap, and cetaphil for hand washing, boarax for the washer and plant derived unscented laundry soap
The doctor said that glycerin soap irrates the skin and is making the skin inflamed. Borax also can harm your skin. So he told me to use the following:
Free and Clear shampoo -way better then what i was using and no smell at all.
Neutrogena orginal formula facial bar but can use on the body also-It has a orange smell to it and is made of glyercin.
All free and clear laundry detergent i wouldn't even attempt to open it because it smells on the outside  package. At least i got a better shampoo out of the information.

Shapes

The easiest way to cut out a shape for me is using the "Accuquilt Go machine". I bought mine used (cheaper that way) i have one of the older models, it dosnt need to be plugged in like the newer models you hand crank it, which is easy to do. The dyes come in lots of shapes and sizes. They are expensive but well worth it.
Here are some tips:
Buy the dies on sale or used lightly
Buy the designs you will use often
Keep them clean
You can use them not only on fabric but also paper.
Mix and match your designs/shapes
You can use more then one layer of fabric
Get involved in a swap (imagine all the shapes/ designs and different fabrics/paper you will get.
This is a good way to use your scrap fabrics.
Here are some of the shapes i have. (Sorry for the wrinkled backround. Note to self iron the backround lol )

T.G.I.F.

T.G.I.F. Stands for (in my own world)Thank Goodness its Fabric Day.
I started to use fridays for the day to look through my fabrics, shop for fabrics, organize fabrics, ect..it may take a whole 10 minutes or hours it just depends what i am thinking at the time.
Today i am going through my fabric to match fabric to make pillow cases. Then i can spend the weekend through next week to make them.
God Bless and have a Fabric weekend :)

Taking a Class

I love to learn new things and i think i am a pretty good student(lol)As many of you know, i can't go to quilting classes anymore do to my health, however i found a way to take quilting classes on line, its not the same as having a bunch of friends in a classroom all talking at the same time but it works. I bought some quilting classes on Craftsy , and i love it. Not only do they have quilting classes but also they have a variety of other classes too. I took Edyta Sitar's - Garden of Quilted Possibilities. She gave lots of pointers and is a great teacher. Very easy to follow.  The first project in her classes was a table runner, of course i added my spin to it and it came out great. I made this for my mother-in- law , who is a wonderful person.
I added the hearts by hand with a blanket stitch.
